All our timber is grown in Britain, usually in the north of England or the Scottish borders. We always look to source timber originating from large commercial forests such as kielder in Northumbria, Dalby in North Yorkshire and the Craik Forest in the Borders. These forests are sustainably managed, operating a programme of replanting and renewal.
We cut some sleepers here at our sawmill here in Wetherby, as well as working closely with a number of trusted sawmills in the north of England and the Scottish borders. This is vital to maintain a constant supply of prime quality British sleepers.
